MSF-certified training for riders who have never touched a motorcycle, and for riders who already have thousands of miles. Pass our course and you skip the riding test at the DMV entirely if 18+.
Every course is the newest curriculum from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and runs in two parts: an online eCourse you finish at home, then range time with a certified RiderCoach.

Three steps, and only one of them happens at the DMV.
Once you register and pay, we will email your eCourse login. Work through it at your own pace over as many sittings as you want, then print the Completion Certificate and bring it with you to class.
Straight-line riding, stopping, shifting, turning, then swerving and emergency braking. Our motorcycles, our helmets, a certified RiderCoach the whole way.
Pass the riding evaluation and we hand you an MSB-8 certificate. Bring it to the DMV, take a vision test, and they add the "M" to your license.
Under 18? You'll still take a riding test at the DMV, and a parent or guardian has to be at the first day of class to sign waivers — about 15 minutes.

If you can mount the motorcycle, start it, shift to first, take off using the clutch, shift up and then down through the gears, make a turn, and come to a smooth complete stop in first gear without any instruction, then the LW course should be fine. If you can't, or you're not sure, then the BRC would be the appropriate course.
